We’ve been moaning quite a bit about the claims being made by car makers for their electric cars. We understand that a big drawback for buyers is ‘Range Anxiety’, a completely understandable concern when you can’t exactly pull over and top up your electric. So we asked Secretary of State Philip Hammond to look at legislation on range claims by electric car makers so buyers can make a judgement on the facts, not the fiction.

The new August 2014 issue of CAR magazine has a stunning, eight-page photoshoot on the Aston Martin DP-100 concept car. We met its makers and spent a day with the amazing mid-engined supercar – where we learned the following nuggets. ‘One of the phrases that we like to use is “out of chaos, something arises,”’ said design director Marek Reichman.
A redesign for the Bentley Continental GT is nearly ready to be unveiled. We'll get a first full look on Sept. 7 via the Internet, then get up close and personal at the Paris motor show in early October.
